Presentation
Proactive Sustainability in Electronics

The electronics industry is at a crossroads: rising e-waste, resource scarcity, and tightening regulations demand a shift from reactive compliance to proactive innovation. This presentation outlines a forward-looking sustainability framework that goes beyond recycling to embed circular principles into design and operations. By leveraging strategies such as short- and medium-loop R-approaches, system-level reuse, and design for balanced aging, manufacturers can extend product lifetimes, reduce environmental impact, and unlock new economic value.

Aligning with the EU Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan, proactive sustainability offers tangible benefits: improved resource efficiency, reduced risk from raw material shortages, and opportunities for new business models. Attendees will discover how embracing these principles strengthens competitiveness, enhances technological sovereignty, and positions electronics as a driver of sustainable growth rather than a contributor to global waste streams.
