Once upon a time...

The innovationsforum originally started in 2004 as a customer event in Germany for the four Dresden-based companies AIS, HAP, Ortner, and SYSTEMA. In 2015 Xenon officially joined the Automation Network Dresden which is the organizer of the conference. It has grown to be one the most successful conferences on innovation in automation in Dresden. In 2015 the conference took place in the USA for the first time. Typically customers of the five companies present projects they have done together over the course of two half days. In recent years there has been a focus on showcasing new technologies and achievements in automation research. Each year an 'Innovation Award for Automation' is given to an influencer and driver of innovations in manufacturing at the evening event and dinner party.
